The land Tribulus ( Tribulus terrestris L.), also known as Cross of Malta , is a plant belonging to the family of Zygophyllaceae , it is one of the few representatives in Europe. This very hairy annual plant has hair more or less silver. Its creeping stems little branched can reach 90 cm in length, while foliage and flowers can hardly amount to more than 5 cm above the ground 1 . The leaves are opposite, paripinnate, usually six pairs of leaflets oval margin surrounded by long white hair (the number of pairs of leaflets varies from five to eight).
