You would be wrong not to consume dates . What for? Because dates have multiple benefits for our health . I speak not only to our Muslim community, but also non-Muslims who are interested in our religion Islam.

First what is a date? The date is an edible fruit, fleshy, sweet and very energetic. According to Salman Ibn 'Amer (رضي الله عنه), the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: "When one of you breaks his fast he makes by eating dates. If it is not, let him drink water because it is a means of purification. " (Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi)

Anas (رضي الله عنه) said: "The Messenger of Allah break his fast by eating some ripe before prayer dates. If it was not, he was just a few dates, if he drank a few sips of water. " (Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi)

And some verses of the Qur'an :

Surah Maryam, verses 22, 23, 24 and 25.

Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 4.

Benefits of dates on our health.

It also contains 31 grams of carbohydrate and 3 grams of dietary fiber. Adding dates in milk can be a very nutritious and refreshing snack, especially during convalescence, for children and even adults.

. 3 Dates are low in calories:
Dates have a very low number of calories , about 23 calories for a date. This fruit is suitable for people concerned about their weight and their health.

. 4 Dates are rich in potassium and low in sodium:
A key advantage of the benefits of dates on our health lies in its ability to regulate a healthy nervous system, thanks to the high potassium content (over 670 mg per 100 g). The research recommends that high intake of potassium can reduce by 40% the risk of attack.
